June 2nd

As I was typing yesterday, I accidentally got out of my message. So I was frustrated and just decided to abandon all that I had typed. Yesterday we went to our town's all star baseball game. It was really exciting to watch. This was the one game that Andrew really wanted to be nominated for. But as it turns out, he didnt make the cut. However, his best friend Jacen did. Jacen is the sweetest, best friend Andrew could ever ask for. God definitely sent Jacen to Andrew for friendship. Jacen told Andrew he wanted to give him his spot on the team. Isn't that amazing! He is so great. So anyway, Jacen ended up playing and we went to watch most of the game. Andrew also tried out for the Travel team (U10) but he didn't make it. That was heart wrenching. I cried so much that day! Andrew was very upset. I didn't realize how bad he wanted to make the team. We told him to keep practicing and maybe next year, he will make the team.
Being a mom isn't always easy, but it is the best job in the world. Deciding to homeschool wasn't an easy decision. But it is one that I will never regret. I have gotten to mold my kids, watch them grow and see their struggles. I help them through each problem and I will continue to guide them on their journey. They don't fall into the "social" trap that is all to familiar. They have developed a bond with each other that will never be broken and they know each other and what makes each other tick. And I know that they would protect each other even if it meant getting into "serious" trouble. For this I am grateful and I will continue to nurture that love forever.

What a hard thing, when a Mom watches and experiences her child's heartache.

And what a sweet thing, when God provides "the perfect friend" like He did with Andrew in Jacen.
